我们的城墙城市在中世纪已初具形态，其中许多都是地方领主和统治者的防御前哨和经济枢纽，因此它们的历史以领土统治权的争端和斗争为特征。此外，勤劳的社区在城墙城市中孕育而生，他们通过完备的资助体系，建立了一种以商业贸易、本地生产和文化发展为基础的致富模式。

Amongst the cities which are part of our association, there is worldwide-known Venice, but also well-known cities as Verona and Treviso.

Our walled cities reached their conformation during the Middle Age. Many of them were defensive outposts and economic crossroads for local lords and rulers, so their history is characterized by disputes and struggles for territorial domination. Besides, they gave birth to laborious and hardworking communities, who raised a wealth pattern based on commerce, local production and cultural growth, thanks to the diffused system of the patronage.The walls were and still are a great symbol of identity, because a successful cultural, economic and artistic growth took place within them.

Talking about art, that is something we are striving to enhance and preserve. Every day we are doing our best in order to preserve our heritage, that I will present to you with the help of some pictures of MONTAGNANA –CITTADELLA –SOAVE –TREVISO –PADOVA –VERONA –VALEGGIO SUL MINCIO – ASOLO – NOALE – VILLAFRANCA DI VERONA.Our values and identity, still part of our everyday life, flourished around the fortification walls, along with some productions of excellence and tales to tell.
